Light crosses empty space at three hundred million metres a second and travels in straight lines. Follow one of those lines into a mirror, a block of glass, a pinhole, an eye and a prism.

Put an ammeter either side of a bulb and both read the same. Follow that one fact from a torch to a junction, a voltmeter, an ohm and a cable that is copper inside and plastic outside.
